Server
Job Description: The servers are the face of the restaurant, and they are to be the guide to a welcoming Guest experience. Proper greeting, sharing food knowledge, warm hospitality, and anticipatory Guest service are the primary objectives of the Servers. Servers must be friendly, approachable, and particularly knowledgeable about the dining experience. They need to be adaptable to serve both first time visitors to Korean barbecue and veteran grillers alike.
Essential Functions:
- Take and settle orders
- Expedite food
- Set tables
- Fulfill customer requests such as retrieving utensils, drinks, or refills
- Spot-clean the floor
- Clear tables
- Maintain the banchan refrigerator and server station
- Change grills for Guests as needed or upon request
- Responsible for the gas - must ensure gas is turned off at the table as a final check
- Staff the bar area on a rotation
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Previous cash handling experience
- Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional Guest service; service oriented with a Guests come first mentality
- Possesses a friendly, outgoing, positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to be professional and courteous with general public
- Able to exercise good judgment while working both independently and collaboratively; works well in a team environment
- Able to work in a noisy and sometimes chaotic environment and be flexible under a variety of circumstances
- Punctual, neat and accurate in work habits; precise and detail-oriented
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and extended schedules during peak periods
- The ability to adjust to business needs and display a sense or urgency during peak hours.
- Valid ServSafe Food Handler’s Certificate
- Valid Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certificate
- 1 year of previous server experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 Years of previous server experience
Physical Demands
- Able to move from place to place which may include standing and/or walking for extended periods of time
- Lift and carry 45 lbs short distances
Dress Code: Black button-up and black pants, non-slip shoes
Pay Range: $16.00/hr to $21.00/hr + Tips
